Competency - HLTAID011 Provide First Aid . This unit incorporates the competency of units: HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support and HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This course is for everyone who is required to have First Aid in the workplace or simply to gain the skills and knowledge to help in any emergency situation whilst at home, away or on the road.

The purpose of this program is to provide participants with training in basic life support and in the first aid management of the more common and/or more serious injuries or illnesses that may be encountered within the general community at home, the workplace or during recreation.

You will be trained in first aid procedures that should enable you to assist an injured or ill person until medical aid is accessed.

The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course is a minimum qualification required by workplace health and safety legislation for the workplace first aider, or injuries or illnesses that may be encountered at home or during recreation.

Course Duration: Blended:2 hours of unsupervised pre-course study and 6.5 hours of face to face training and assessment 

Course Location: All scheduled courses are held at
the "Curran Centre" 12 Gordon Street, Coffs Harbour unless otherwise specified
Non-scheduled courses available for groups of 6 or more at our place or yours

Entry Requirements: Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and rescue breathing techniques on manikins.
Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.

Payment Terms: Payment for individual participants is upfront, group booking payment terms are based on agreement between the client and service provider. 

mouth to mouthAssessment: Progressive assessment of the competencies will be conducted throughout the course. You will participate in both theory and practical sessions. Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.

Award:  After the competent completion of all of the required skills and when registration procedures have been completed, you will receive a Statement of Attainment from Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO# 90909). The program is recognised by State and National government recognition authorities under National Training Recognition Scheme.

Certificate Renewal Requirements:  Certificates will require renewal after 36
months
